The tragedy of her loss.

Sorrow, mourning, tears to drop and flow,

Painful, pouring, fears of anxious woe.

The heart strings pulled asunder,

The shadows of darkened night,

A heart of resounding thunder,

The thoughts of constant fright.

Tear drops, flowing, uplifted prayers to cry,

A gasp, a breath, a long, drawn out sigh.

She clenched the sheets in downcast,

The thunder in the night,

Her deepest love now lost,

Through it all, despite.

The raindrops at midnight, the calming of her pain,

A prelude to the storm, the loss with little gain.

The tragedy of her sorrow, few would hear her tale,

The death of her beloved, her love then, to fail...
