The Titanic
Upon the sea so wide and deep,
A ship so grand began to sail.
With dreams aboard, the stars in sight,
A maiden voyage, pure delight.
But fate’s cruel hand would soon unfold,
As icebergs loomed, both fierce and cold.
A heart so bold, now filled with dread,
As quiet fears filled hearts with dread.
Amidst the cries, the water rose,
A story of loss, with pain and woes.
The ship's band played, “Nearer, My God, to Thee,”
As darkness closed in, no one was free.
For those who dreamed, the night was long,
In sorrow’s grasp, they found their call.
And as she sank into the night,
The world would mourn, the hearts would fight.
Yet in the depths, their spirits soar,
The Titanic's tale, forevermore.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
