Mothers And Wives Weep For Their Loss

Just Another Tragic Loss

In the depths where darkness reigns,

A pit man’s courage, enduring pains.

With every shift, he faced the risk,

But fate was unkind, and life turned brisk.

A sudden fall, the world stood still,

In the heart of the coal, he met his will.

What once brought pride now brings me grief,

A tragedy strikes, beyond belief.

His laughter echoed in tunnels so deep,

Now silence surrounds, where I should weep.

A life dedicated to the toil and the grind,

Now only memories linger behind.

In shadows of sorrow, I carry his name,

Through the weight of the loss, life feels the same.

Though the pit has claimed what I hold dear,

His spirit remains, forever near.

so many good men lost to the coal pit deaths

A miner lost to the tragedy, bless their last breath
