The Time, Time Stopped
I'm Not Late, Afterall

Once upon a time, you can believe it or not...
Time stopped, awkwardly still
At this precise moment, and spot
*
No-one knows why, or even bothered to knock
They just ignored it
Once upon a time, you can believe it or not...
*
Being how I am, I can't let things go
I do take exception
I'm bothered, ya know?
*
Why don't you tell me, why did you stop moving
At this precise moment
What are you disapproving?
*
Time looked at me, without moving an inch
I don't know why you care
Won't more time, help you a smidge?
*
I looked at my watch, and the list in my hand
Gave him a wink
And said, well I'll be damned
I never interfered with time stopping again

Enjoyed the tone and sentiment of this so much! Great piece! 🤍
Quite the handy little timepiece you have there. Do you think it might help me catch up on everything on which I'm behind? (Notifications, writing, Christmas decorating....)
Quite poetic that to me still reads like a story.
I have no idea why I sang this like a song to my own tune. Loved your poem!
This has a catchy rhythm and flow. I can definitely picture the white rabbit here. Great work Kelli.
Nicely done!
Beautiful!
