"The Things I Never Said"
What if I had said them before it was too late?

1.
I never told you how your absence felt like winter,
how silence carved wounds deeper than words ever could.
2.
I never said I still reach for you in my sleep,
that I wake up clutching the air where you used to be.
3.
I should have begged you to stay.
I should have asked if you were breaking too.
4.
But I let you walk away,
and now I live with echoes-
of a love that never shattered,
but still slipped through my hands,
like sand,
like breath,
like something too heavy to hold,
but too sacred to let go.

I love this poem .. The plot was engaging, and the pacing kept me interested throughout. I appreciated the character development, especially how the journey unfolded.
