Everyone has a desire to break the mould of conformity and go against the grain. It's always nice to live in a world where one has one's space;
We do have to bear in mind that we live with others and must do so in tandem. The solution? Win-win. Let's strike a balance with this senryu.

Lovely thought and so beautifully written, Michelle. I like being a bit of a rebel, but I also realize the importance of compromise and sometimes, conformity. Your senryu speaks volumes.
Lovely
Perfect for the sentiment! (L.C. comment agreement).
Think you have one two many syllables in the last line 🧐 Beautiful nonetheless!
Oooo, this was so freaking deep! You nailed this!
A great metaphor for a dual nature of relationships, Michelle: we want to be free and fly but as deeply social creatures we cannot be completely untethered from others.
