howling echoes

light goes out, the dark thickens

cold breath on my neck

“Tenebrous” —meaning dark, shadowy, obscure. From the Latin tenebrae, meaning “deep shadow”,

A "fiend" is born of darkness itself — a demonic, malicious being.

I feel creepy just thinking about this!

I do find haiku tricky, and trickier yet when you've got so many entries around a similar idea of haunting/spookiness. That last line is a great closer though👏

    - Oh that hand looks so creepy. It was so creepy I thought her fingers were less than five lol. 🐺Love the title. I like seeing those T's almost close together. - Damn. The dark got darker. This scene was all the way cursed from the start with the howling echos. 🐺But then the cold breath on the neck. I don't think I could cope. Love my neck too much to have it exposed like this. To a demonic malicious being. I know tonight it will be there while I sleep. And this is deeply unsettling for me to think about. Fantastic work as always, Imola 🤗 ❤️ 🖤

That’s wonderfully eerie, it captures that instant when fear becomes physical. Also, thanks for teaching me a new word!

  • I would just die if that happened to me hahahahaha. Loved this!
