Three sisters, each unique in their distinctive ways,
Destined for greatness - to set the world ablaze.
Their interests will sway them in different directions,
Memories will root them during reminiscing reflections.
Spanned apart solely by age,
Overlapping excitement reliving each stage.
The first-born, a brunette, standing just over five feet tall,
Stunningly beautiful capturing the eyes of all.

Filled with hesitation, anxieties, but also the bravery to soar!
Her circle is small trust doesn't come easily,
At home with her family - her mom, she can rest peacefully.
Filled with an innate ability - she doesn't yet understand,
Her full potential is limitless - her reach will only expand.
The role model, the leader, they look to her for the way,
An example, right and wrong choices are on full display.
Strong with opinion, a sassy tongue,
Articulate with words - impressive open mind for being so young.
The first-born of three sisters, maturing each day,
Hand-in-hand with her little sisters interlocked she will stay.

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
