Our mind is the battlefield, the portal for the enemy to enter to steal, kill and destroy- the truth, our thoughts, our faith, our hopes and dreams, our self, our application of the Word in our lives. He's persistent and very cunning, but each piece of the Armor of God is intentionally marked and given.

The helmet of Salvation covers our head, our most vulnerable part because of our mind. The breastplate of Righteousness protects our heart, the waistband of Truth protects our core, the sandals of Peace take us to safety. The shield of Faith deflects the enemy's arrows and the sword of the Spirit is the Word of God. Like any warrior on the battlefield, we would be at a huge disadvantage without the sword and we would have only the shield to keep us safe- our Faith. But our power is Rooted in the Spirit, the Word, the sword.

Just like the natural world, being a soldier is not for everyone. But unlike the natural world, we are drafted into warfare. It's not glamorous, and not for the faint of Faith because of the constant attacks, without a backplate for the teeth rakes. But every soul is precious, and worth fighting for.

His day is yet to come so we will meet the enemy in the trenches on the battlefield until then, in His name. We already know how the story ends.

So for now, we will STAND STRONG.
