The Switch
A dream I had last night
An entity of anger
Brought darkness to my room
With thrashing teeth
I spewed hatred at you
and everyone else too
The clouded air turned eerie as darkness settled in
Like a blanket it covered everything
Suffocation
Abrasion
but something came to mind
a thought of love brought in light
so I spoke it out loud
A rainbow filled the space
We were immersed in its colorful rays
Gravity lifted, it was light as air
Then I flipped the switch
maybe just to experiment with it
to see what would happen
if anger entered again
instantly it was heavy
darkness ate the light
Switching back I understood
how words cloud minds and hearts
or how they can create the light

Such a beautiful reminder of how powerful our words are—how anger can suffocate a room, and love can instantly fill it with light and color. 🌈🖤
