The sun is medicine

A poem

The paleness of my skin glows,

As the suns soft rays caress my skin.

The cold flees from my veins,

And I wonder where this warmth has been.

My world has been painted in shades of grey,

Not a trace of light or colourful hue.

Like a fog has descended down onto my brain,

Misting my in a cold and gloomy way.

But as I take this gentle breath,

And bath in the first summer light.

I come to realize how much I lacked in sun,

For I had no vitamin D on my tongue.
