Heart and Brain Crossed

a Poem of crossroads

Here at the crossroad again,

Wondering where to begin.

Wonder down the well known path,

Or turn deeper to the craft.

Either path could breed success,

But what about my happiness?

One road leads to security,

One too unknown to guess.

But I’m here at the cross road again,

And we have to begin.

To stay looking at wither path,

Would stir self-imposing wrath.

To stand still when we are meant to move,

Could lead me to my untimely doom.

When brain and heart have a falling out,

Decisions become disastrous.

For the brain wants social and financially sound,

But the heart wants deeper rooted happiness all around.
