The Sun Cries

The Sun Cries a Rainbow

By Ashley Maureena Published 3 years ago 1 min read
The Sun Cries a Rainbow

The normal radiant sun,

Its beams once shining bright,

Thinks of the barrel of a gun,

She knows that end is not right.

Tears fall down, salted rain,

Down to lake, once so fresh,

Life sustaining, all her brain,

An ink blot on designer dress.

Fish cannot live in such place,

The salt strong, dead sea rises,

But winter needles make a face,

Life pushes on despite a crisis.

A bat leaps out from the tree,

The last light of sun calls out,

His signal stands for all to see,

But the dark night is all about.

The fighter and his cross-crowned friend,

Circle the stars with laser shots,

Light and dark to make amends,

Balance spoken, but never brought.

No moon shines in deadly scene,

Planet destroyed for power race,

Millions die and millions bleed,

Pieces fall to mourn in daze.

Brothers, friends, swords are drawn,

Fire, lava, the earth it quakes,

The sun she knows it is wrong,

Cries her song to eternal lake.
