The Sun And The Moon

A Villanelle

By Rose RocketPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

With the sun and the moon in the sky together

It is a wondrous sight to behold

A moment in which I could stay forever

One could be called bold, the other, clever

Names taken from old

With the sun and the moon in the sky together

I will love them ever after

Sight to memory I will mold

A moment in which I could stay forever

The picture they create will endeavor

An image that could never be sold

With the sun and the moon in the sky together

They hold one another up like a lever

In half it seems the sky could fold

A moment in which I could stay forever

I hope their ties never sever

Today it was hot and it was cold

With the sun and the moon in the sky together

A moment in which I could stay forever
