Floating in the cool creek water

under the Full Strawberry Moon

I wait with face upturned.

My body, weightless in shimmering liquid

Drifting with the possibility

of vanishing into the star filled firmament.

Disappearing from the mundane world

Leaving this little life behind.

I held my breath

Wishing for a new adventure.

In answer, a glowing air frigate appeared above

Like a polished indigo marble

Poised over me_waiting.

A shaft of glittering light_like luminous snow

Descended slowly

Filled with star stuff and hope.

As I reached upward

It touched my fingertips

Caressed my body_lifted me gently skyward.

Like a lover I rose

Carried into that bedazzling light.

Lost to view from any below.

Leaving no trace
