The Storm Is Just Starting
Rainy Weather A Storm Begins

The sky out side is dark, cloudy and gray
In side curtains are drawn, ending the day.
Raindrops in a rhythm on windows and streets,
Inside the house people make their retreats
Thunder rumbles deeply, a growl from afar,
Echoing wild, like a explosion from an old car
The world feels alive, alive with each crack,
The pulse of the storm, no turning back.
Puddles gather round, reflecting the gloom,
While branches sway wildly, as if to their doom.
Each drop a reminder of nature’s vast might,
In the heart of the storm, nothing feels right.
So let it thunder, let the rain pour on down,
In this storm I feel safe, with my family around
For in every storm, in every loud thunder roar
We’re all safe in our home, so let the rain pour

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
