The Spirit’s Journey

This poem reflects the journey of the soul, from spiritual beginnings, through material distractions, and back to spiritual wisdom in old age.

We come to earth as whispered light,

With souls still tethered to the night.

A world unseen, yet known so well,

Where echoes of the spirits dwell.

As infants wrapped in cosmic glow,

We hear the voices, soft and low.

The air hums secrets, pure and deep,

That only newborn hearts can keep.

But time moves fast, and roots take hold,

We chase the dreams of fleeting gold.

The earth calls out with weight and name,

And lures us to its fleeting game.

The stars grow silent, skies turn dim,

The winds no longer call to them.

We build with hands, with minds so keen,

Yet lose the sight of what's unseen.

But years will steal what youth has made,

And hands once firm begin to fade.

The sights once sharp will blur and bend,

Yet distant voices call again.

The spirit stirs in aging bones,

Through whispered winds and ancient stones.

The veil grows thin, the light shines bright,

Old wisdom wakes in endless night.

So elders sit with knowing eyes,

Beneath the ever-changing skies.

They hold the past, the yet-to-be,

A bridge between the earth and sea.

And so the young with eager breath,

Seek guidance from the ones near death.

For they have touched what lies beyond,

And heard the silence filled with song.

The circle turns, as it must do,

From earth to sky, from old to new.

For all who walk will come to find—

The world unseen was never blind.
