The Spirit of All Hallows’ Eve

An Ode to Nature’s Veil

When autumn’s breath turns crisp and clear,

And whispers grace the ambered sphere,

A quiet magic comes alive,

On All Hallows’ Eve, where spirits thrive.

Soft twilight falls, a silken veil,

As stars ignite in skies so pale.

The moon, a pearl in velvet night,

Spreads gentle beams of silver light.

The trees stand tall, in cloaks of gold,

Their branches wise with stories old.

In every leaf that drifts and falls,

The echoes of the past recall.

Not shadows dark, but secrets deep,

Of earth and time, of souls that sleep,

A reverent calm enwraps the land,

Where worlds unseen walk hand in hand.

The pumpkins glow with embers warm,

Guardians of this ancient charm,

A quiet spell they seem to weave,

In honor of All Hallows’ Eve.

Owls call out with voices wise,

Tracing arcs across the skies,

While winds hum low, a tender song,

To which the autumn hearts belong.

Through forests dense and fields so wide,

The spirit of the earth abides,

Inviting souls, both new and old,

To dance in stories yet untold.

In every glen, in every glade,

An ancient bond is gently laid,

Where mortal hearts, with reverence pure,

Meet mysteries they can’t ignore.

The veil grows thin, but brings no fear—

Only the joy of drawing near,

To kindred spirits, warm and bright,

A gathering of soul and sight.

Not dark, not drear, but soft and clear,

A chance to sense what’s always near,

In roots, in stars, in winds that weave,

The ageless dance of All Hallows’ Eve.

And as the night yields softly on,

Embracing both the lost and dawn,

The earth, the sky, the souls we keep—

All cradle gently into sleep.
