If I was a colour what would it be?
So many to choose,
it’s quite a quandary!
I think maybe Green?
I’m teaming with life,
but turned right around
reflects trouble and strife.
So no. Not green.
Possibly blue,
like the sky on a hot summers day!
A pleasure, pure delight;
some would say!
Though blue is also a warning,
a silent calling,
as if to say “get out of my way!”
No, I’m not Blue.
Noway!
What about red?
A heart filled with love!
A bouquet out on display
full of passion; vibrant fashion!
However that fades after a only a day...
And then there is dread,
a hazard,
an alarm,
no that’s not me!
I do no harm.
Hmmm.
If I was a colour,
surely I’d choose
from all the primary, secondary,
tones and hues...
The only one that,
(somewhat like yellow)
shows a brightness in a haze
to light up our days.
I see my colour!
I am somewhat, Golden!
In idol form which your palm could hold on.
A treasure of sorts; I know some would seek.
A commodity,
A conductor,
Midas touched rough ore.
Bleak?
Soft and a little weak?
I’m imperfect in many ways,
Yet I’m enriching to Peoples days.
Like our star.
So near, so far:
Blinded by white light,
Put into a spot tight,
Comes out of the other side
Like the moon does each night!
Imperfection makes ME perfect!
I would never doubt this so, hey!
What colour you ask?
“Golden!”
Is my reply,
In every single way!
