The Space Between the Silence
Grief And Loss Poetry
“26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Psalm 73:26 New International Version
That gentle
Nudge an urge
Send a text
And pray!
~~~
A grieving friend
The pain heavy
Faith not shaken
But the words
Are empty,
The space between
The silence
Words neither
Spoken
Or silent.
~~~
An answer to
A question
How are you feeling?
Her answer brief
But it tells
Me
What
I need to Know,
Pray!
~~~
A quick word
Of encouragement
The promise to keep
Praying
Feeling a
Little helpless
Not knowing
What to say
But remembering
Too
That He wraps
Us in His
Embrace
Even when
We don’t have
The words to
Pray.
