The Sound of Emptiness

Silent Emptiness

By Nashawn ManzanoPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Into the anguish I blur as I continually attempt to

track down the ideal locations,

to arrive at a quiet serenity

In my home, with my loved ones.

I like to hear the sounds

of falling precipitation

also, the delicate, murmuring,

singing of this calm presence.

Banging, I attempt to persevere

also, some of the time I flourish

in the noisy charm of music,

however, when the day is finished

or on the other hand I'm not at one

With the world

I need to find

my way back to the earth.

I consistent my heart, and attempt

to battle the desire

To get out of my cloud

Also, shrug out of my cover.
