Remembering Prince

As I sit here watching Purple Rain

Letting these tears roll down my cheeks

I think about what I am mourning

A musician, a lyrical genius

A man that has transcended generations

As I listen to his music I have never felt more inspired

This is what music does for the world

Even when we are at our saddest

When we feel we cannot get any lower

A beat, a melody, and a few words can lift us up

Music can make you travel back in time

It can make you heart soar to places you might have forgotten

As we go through the ups and downs of life we tend to forget to take time

To just sit and listen

Although this day is filled with sadness

I listen and have found the peace in shedding my tears

inspirational

Music can open the window of the soul. We lost a genius when Prince died. Your writing I believe released the feelings most people had. Keep up the good work and keep sharing the mess you call a brain anytime
