Why is it
That music touches my soul
So deeply?
It speaks to me
So loudly
Relating to my emotions
Others
Giving me a moment of clarity
In my chaos of life
It’s my teacher
My friend
My lover
My conscious
My angel
My devil
It brings me up
And takes me down
Just in a moment’s notice
But
It has been the only
Constant in my life
Never letting me down
Always there
No matter what
When everyone else has left
And destroyed
Most of my being
And now
It has the toughest task
Yet
To try to put together
My completely broken soul
To reinvent
Maybe
Actually find
My true self
Out of all
That has been shattered.
