The Solid Space
This space creates calm amidst chaos.
Saltine crackers and playing cards
Dot the floor like lovers.
Orange peels and pencil shards
Are not complete without bed covers.
Saturdays win with rain streaked windows
And crisp winds blow as cold
As the minds of widows.
Such feelings take hold.
The warmth of the hearth lies
‘Neath the area where I fall.
It is my cozy space for tries
I fail, I get back up standing more tall.
With all the confusion, nothing takes
My mental health.
This space is where nothing fakes
My mind is my great wealth.
To take the time to meditate
Is a rich and rewarding thing.
It’s like I can levitate
And make an entire house sing.
