somewhere out there, somewhen in time,

you and i did not stay the same.

we never fell to our knees.

we held each other fast.

our hearts stayed dust-free.

you ask me now,

"was it good?"

i smile.

"yes."

I feel I need to clarify the first line. When I count the syllables in my head, it has 8. But according to the syllable counter Vocal has said they will be using for this challenge, it has 9. Maybe I have a fundamental misunderstanding of how syllables work. Go figure.

The simplicity of your words radiates a timeless warmth and affection, excellent work, love it, subscribed, thanks for sharing!

  • The syllable counter is high, lol. It said stovetop is 3 syllables and cliché is 1. Go figure hahahahaha. Loved your Nonet!

Beautiful, Alivia, well done. This captures the, ”what if”, questions that come with heartbreak so well
