the simple wait

another love poem

By Karen GosalPublished 2 years ago 1 min read
she asked for deer

She asks if he loves her now till the end of the light

She asks if he will kiss her at night

Be there after the end of every fight

He says he can’t

She wonders if his heart still say otherwise

Others may think hes just giving excuses or lies

She asks him for a favor wondering if he's just not the one

But something in her chest tells her to not run

Though he may have venom from some other

That went from his sleeve to entrapping his heart

The last thing she wants to do is be a burden and smoother

When she looks and thinks of him she only sees art

Maybe it's his energy with his wisdom so smart

A few years older aged like wine

Cherry kisses are what he needs with time

To the point that she wants to love

But the thought of him feels like a drug

And the feeling of being with anyone feels like a waste

Hopefully into her heart he will race

On the day he sees her glowing face

fact or fiction
