Once it played, a sound so sweet

A symphony, that danced beneath your feet

Its beauty and grace, a concert to hold

A music so pure, with a soul so bold

*

But time and neglect, have taken their toll

And now this symphony, has lost its hold

Its notes now fading, with each passing day

Leaving behind, a sound in decay

*

The silent symphony, its end so near

Its melody lost, its rhythm in fear

Its last goodbye, to all below

A dying sound, a beauty to know

*

It's time is up, its journey done

A life that once was, now gone

Its memory remains, a testament bright

To a symphony that played, with all its might.
