The Silence Between Stars
A Poem of Longing and Becoming

In the hush where night unravels,
I carry the weight of unsung prayers,
words slipping like silver dust
through the fingers of forgotten time.
Your name rises—
not in thunder,
but in the gentle ache of wind
that bends the trees without breaking them.
I have searched the silence
between stars,
where light travels for centuries
only to arrive as a whisper.
If love were less fragile,
perhaps it would carve mountains,
but instead—
it blooms in hidden places:
a tremble in the throat,
a warmth in the hollow chest,
a fragile seed daring
to split stone.
And so I wait—
not for destiny,
but for the moment
when your shadow
meets my shadow,
and both dissolve
into dawn.
