I love you so much I have burned holes in my soul.

It was toxic magic to me, burning through my atoms,

Poking first one hole and then another before, at last,

I was illuminated like an arrow-downed monster

Bent like a bow in the air with porcupine quills of fire.

I love you so much I’ve combusted like a star.

.

Except I only love you after the red sunset bleeds out and night drops.

I only love you in the safety of my head when the fog has rolled in

And covered my face, my breath, my desires with its white blanket.

.

I am choking, lungs filling like buckets with water

Because I cannot give up the chase of loving you,

Not even if I am trembling from the cold and blue.

I’ve always been blue around the edges with you,

Too afraid of what might happen to let go of my breath

But look, look at how right I turned out to be.

.

There is a chanting in my head, windchimes whistling in my throat.

I’ve abandoned the principle of the matter and swallowed the farce

But I can’t figure out how to get back to something I cannot remember.

These are my favorite lines, lines that stuck with me and wither made me go, "yes, yes", or was a forceful or striking image when I read them "Bent like a bow in the air with porcupine quills of fire." "There is a chanting in my head, windchimes whistling in my throat." "I only love you in the safety of my head when the fog has rolled in" I love you so much I’ve combusted like a star."

You have effortlessly expressed the ache we endure not wanting to admit it makes more sense to quit

This was incredible, as ever. Felt so much anguish, pain and almost hard-to-describe pain, but yet, you did it so well, as you always do. Will definitely be bookmarking this piece so I can work my way through the others listed, in case there are some I've missed! So well-penned. Question - this series - will you be doing a book with it? Know this, if you are - I'll be buying a copy double quick lol! Well done, I've said that again now. My Repeater lol.
