Light dances across the surface,
Bending on the water’s edge,
Just before it reaches for the depths,
Still for a breath,
I hold my own,
On the precipice of something bigger,
Something deeper,
Rare are decisive moments,
The ones that stand before a great change,
The send button blinks at me offensively,
The final obstacle between my manuscript and its future,
Rejection or Acceptance,
Failure or Success,
I let out the breath,
Light breaches the water’s surface,
Extending deeper,
I press send.
