The Secrets That We Both Keep
If we write the hidden in a poem then move on? Or not?

The Secrets That We Both Keep
We sit here,
words we shared,
some that should not have been heard.
Yet still,
Secrets we both kept inside our hearts.
keeping me awake,
I fear for my sanity.
I want to speak out,
but the words are stuck,
what if they break me?
What if they screw everything up?
I can’t move,
can’t seem to breathe,
the silence is louder
than I can believe.
I hold on tight,
but it’s slipping away,
these secrets, this weight,
it’s too much to Set free.
I stay here,
stuck in this place,
wondering if I’ll ever
escape from this space.
you must feel the same as me?
your secrets are worse,
real killers aren’t they?.
So what are these secrets?
Some may want to know.
Time for the truth?
bring on the show.
So come on, let’s do it,
this poem will flow.
Wait—no, let the readers think for a bit,
I don’t want this bonfire to be lit.
Inside, the secret can stay,
we’ll kiss and tell another angry day.
I can’t resist your smile,
the bad meat can keep boiling
for a long little while.
we fight we tease up a hurricane
then make up fast,
ignoring the pain.That just us!
Threats, dares and secrets kept inside
A fiery Marriage. friends, foes or allies?

Marriage and relationship. Both friends and foe. Well articulated!
Seems like a good description of several kinds of relationships we may have. Good job.
