The tips of your hair soak up
Your spine melts at the vision of me, you want to tell me everything; show me everything about this world as if I haven’t lived,
without constraints
you steal into my most shameful fantasies and you never dismay
Your naked and dying thoughts cling to every bit of me you can get a hold of before you notice me noticing you and scurry away
I imagine you wrapped up in my skin
Holding on
Present
in every shiver I feel, every spasm of my soul
It doesn’t matter where you are
You’ve traveled the world just to learn we’re nothing
Ripe and heavy,
We jump from a sunny rooftop to a red carpet
and another
Showing off our pretty smiles - do we expect to be worshipped or are we just hanging out?
As time goes by, the whip-crack of the years, our irrational impulses, unspeakable emotions bottle up and never dare to explode
⁃ we are defeated in our prime -
And I dream; and I dream…
you’re still holding onto me.

magnificent and extraordinary.
Amazing poetry.
the last three lines sent a chill down my spine. this is beautiful work
You were a gem to discover tonight, in Sweden just before I sleep. New subscriber and very impressed. I am captivated by your ability to reveal the nakedness in all of us.
Wow! Your words came to life in this great work!
"You've traveled the world just to learn we're nothing," When I read that line, I translate it to mean that their existence is nothing more than a shallow instant, occupying only a fraction of their time on earth. This was very poetic, intimate, and evocative.
Beautiful poem💌Congrats on top story!! 💝
Congratulations on your top story !
For some reason, I feel like this is about the sea.
Wonderfully written. Your imagery was intoxicating. Favorite line: "As time goes by, the whip-crack of the years, our irrational impulses, unspeakable emotions bottle up and never dare to explode"
