The scorn after Christmas day.

The night was dim, the night was young,

With hearts so bold, and emotions strung,

The stars then twinkle, the moons presence, veiled,

Neither concerned of what could be, nor what it, entailed,

The snowflakes fell, scarcely since, the street lamps barely lit,

With winds to blow and skin so tense, for nature would not be, outwit,

They strolled so close, with lovers a grip,

An icy floor, the concrete, to slip,

A sudden announcement to then peform,

The raising of the blizzard storm,

To run, to trip, not to linger nor stall,

Lest they enable pride before the fall.

All this took place, with little else in sight,

All this took place, after a Christmas night...
