The Scent

Familiar?

By Michael NalbonePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

a smell I'd never smelled before

came creeping underneath my door.

all at once my nose was full

of this smell, it wasnt cool.

i jumped out of bed

and i banged my poor head.

i stepped on a toy

and cursed it, oh boy.

now, smelling a smell

is like ringing a bell.

the ring can go on-and-on.

what does this smell

forecast or foretell?

once a smell gets in your head,

you just can't get rid of

'cause smells are undead.

so if you will smell,

i do wish you well.

may all of your smelling be swell.
