put a name upon your chest
the gap's between your ears
slap a label on your ass
to me it seems quite clear
the people you know
who run for the dough
don't have a clue
what life's about, it's true
you must ask yourself a question
what are you being distracted from?
you might not like the answer
devious people
try to run your life
making petty rules
so they can lock you up tight
slave to this
statistics and that
don't think about yourself
wear this here hat
i don't claim to have the answers
and neither should you
someone said it before
to thine self be true
and hey, i wish you peace
i hope you find release
looking far within
today's the day. begin.
