The Scene of the Crime

Twists and Turns In The Darkness

The fading dark turned into the echo of complete darkness

My heart was pounding with the anticipation of fear

The road winding in twists and turns

The further I went, the darker it became

The shadows were ever so present

And so was the sound of my heart beating in my chest

Suddenly there it was, the scene of the crime

The scene of the brutal murder

That left me broken

However, I had to see it for myself

This moment in time I will never forget

sad poetry
