Out in the fields

Surrounded by corn a mile high

Stands a scarecrow

With old buttons for his eyes

Legend has it

He comes alive in the night

But scary stories don’t give me a fright

Still I wonder

Does he know the crops are growing even better this year?

How long the farmer works

Before it’s time for a beer?

Does he ever wonder whether is life will change

Oh who could only know

There’s so much more

To that old scarecrow

Will he come out tonight?

Legend has it he might

But not without a fright

For Fun
