Everything we see today
Resides inside a small screen
We use our thumbs every day
When there’s so much more to see
There’s a world of possibilities
Right outside our door
But we want to stay on the couch
And watch these screens forevermore
We can’t be lazy
This is not who we should be
We should go out into the world
And see all there is to see
Stay off the phone
Put the laptop down
You never know what you’ll find
If you just look around
Let’s live our life to the fullest today
And save the screen for another day.

A very timely and relevant poem! Yesterday, when I was feeling depressed, I pretty much stayed inside and played a game on my phone. Granted, I'm a homesteader and need to get out every day to do my chores. I also go to my elderly neighbor's house every night and have dinner with him. Other than those things, however, I found myself doing just as described in this poem.
