The Room That Misses You

A soft cry of a place left behind, echoing love that still lingers in the shadows.

By Emma Published 5 months ago 1 min read

This room still breathes your quiet name

Its walls unchanged, yet not the same

The clock still ticks its steady beat,

But time has lost its gentle flame

Your coffee cup is on the shelf

I often talk to your ghost-like self

The mirror shows me standing tall,

But I no longer know my self

I read the books you left behind,

Each page still holds your wandering mind

The ink is dry, the scent is faint,

But every line remains aligned

The night still wraps this place in blue,

But stars don’t shine the way they do

When you were here, the silence sang,

Now silence only echoes you

I’m not alone, but still I feel

The weight of love I couldn’t heal

So if you pass this way someday,

Know this room still holds you real

Thank you for reading 💜❤️💜❤️
