Born to Breathe Free

A poetic cry for dignity, justice, and the freedom every soul deserves by birth

By Emma Published 5 months ago 1 min read

We are born not as numbers, but voices with fire,

Not tools of silence, but souls that aspire.

No chain should bind our truth or tongue,

No law should crush the old or young.

A child with dreams, a woman with light,

A man with courage to stand for what's right—

All deserve the sacred space

To live with dignity, strength, and grace.

Not judged by color, not torn by creed,

But lifted by love and basic need.

For freedom is not a prize to win—

It's the breath we carry within our skin.

The right to speak, the right to learn,

The right to eat, to grow, to earn.

The right to pray, or not at all,

To rise again each time we fall.

No border should cage a fleeing soul,

No war should burn what makes us whole.

No tyrant’s voice should drown our plea,

For we are all born to breathe free.

Stand not in silence when rights are denied,

Raise your voice—let justice be amplified.

For when one of us is stripped or torn,

The whole world weeps for what was born.
