The Road No More
A poem about decisions in life and which road to take. A class project which I attended for writing poems according to different themes. This one being about destiny and freedom of choice. Enjoy.

The road no more, a path that's gone, A journey that we must look upon.
With memories and thoughts that never die, A path that's left behind with a sigh.
The footprints that once marked the way, Now gone forever, with nothing to say.
The stories and moments that we shared, Now left behind, with memories that dared.
The path no more, a symbol of the past, A time that's gone, with memories that last.
The friends we made, the laughter and tears, Now just a memory, of a time we hold dear.
The moments we shared, the lessons we learned, A nostalgic memory, of a time that's turned.
We'll cherish the moments that we once had, And keep the memories close, never to be sad.
The memories and lessons will always be, A part of our lives, for eternity.
"There comes a time when you have to choose between turning the page and closing the book."
— Josh Jameson
And though the path may sometimes disappear, The memories and lessons will always be near.
We may walk a new path, with new sights to see, But the road no more will always be a part of our history.
For every step we take, and every turn we make, Is a reminder of the journey, that we once undertook.
So let us embrace the road no more, And cherish the memories that we adore.
For though the path may be gone, The lessons we learned, will always live on.
The road no more, a symbol of our past, A journey that's ended, but forever will last.
