A poem for "The Roads Drops Here" Challenge
The world has tilted for me many a times,
Shifted my whole life on its axis,
Yet even as the world changes day by day,
Mine begins again the next morning
Unphased.
The road less travelled looks appealing,
Harder, yes.
But as you pave your own path,
And shape your journey,
You see all the misshapen, beautiful pieces of life,
The things that you have been missing.

The Last Flame invited writers to sit with endings, using fire as a central image to consider what remains when something burns out: ash, warmth, memory, silence, or the faint promise of what comes next. The strongest pieces treated endings as gradual rather than sudden, allowing them to flicker, dim, and linger.
