The river roars, a churning beast,
Its waves like angry fists, unleashed.
Fear grip in the wind's cold breath,
But still, we stand, defying death.
The current pulls, a hungry maw,
Threatening to swallow, break the law
Of life, of hope, of what we hold,
Yet still, we fight, stories untold.
For water's life, a precious gift,
We face the storm, our spirits swift.
With hands that grip, and hearts that burn,
We'll bring the water, home we'll return.
Though danger lurks, and shadows fall,
We'll conquer fear, and stand up tall.
For in our strength, a promise lies,
The river's fury, we'll despise.
