keep your distance
steer with care
waters deep, strong currents
life is like the river
full of ups and downs
like uncertainty
at every bend
life is like the river
wander and lose your way
eventually you'll find
your path, come what may
life is like the river
hurdles emerging
one after another
testing your spirit, don't lose heart
life is like the river
where we float along
carried by the current
a voyage of joy and torrent
life is like the river
love knows no border
no restraint
where the hearts acquaint
life is like the river
keep swimming
through challenges
towards the end
don't underestimate life

The Sound That Carries Me
When I lie in bed, the train always finds me. The wheels slam against the tracks, loud and unforgiving, like something inside me that never learned how to rest. The horn cuts through the dark in broken intervals. Too close, too real, impossible to ignore. It drags me back to the fields of my childhood. Back when I thought life was simple. It wasn't. I just didn't have the language for how heavy it already felt. I was small, trying to survive things I didn't know how to name yet.
