The Reaper

Poem

By Onwuka WinniePublished 3 years ago 1 min read

As the night draws near,

The reaper comes for me

Reaching deep for my soul

He whispers;

"You're mine and I'll devour you slowly"

"I am the bane of your existence"

I lay helpless in my sleep paralysis

Shivering

As tears roll down my cheeks

He sensed my fear

And just when he wanted

To reap my soul

I found my voice

"No reaper, not today"
