The Rainbow Inside
a poem on self-growth and the 7 chakras.

Little red dresses,
On rosy cheeked girls.
Blind to the vast and dangerous world.
Crimson lips
Wide round hips
It is I
Who will always survive.
Early morning rays
On sun kissed skin.
Unwise to all the beauty within.
Golden orange light
Brings warmth and delight.
It is I
Who is happy and thrives.
Pretty yellow flowers
For triumphant hearts.
Beyond all that sets us apart.
Each new start
Is a pure form of art.
It is I
Who dances with fire.
Pristine green leaves
On ever growing trees.
Above her roots and stretch down deep.
Gone are thoughts
Burdened by loss.
It is I
Who is standing alive.
Gentle blue winds
Like a soft whisper
Light as air, barely to be heard.
Breathe into
Bittersweet truth.
It is I
Who refuses to hide.
Purple dusk sky
On a cool crisp night
A truly breathtakingly beautiful sight.
Disregarded disguise
Bright opened eyes
It is I
Who would see through the lie.
Crown made of stars
For an elegant throne.
Wherever I go, I am right at home.
We are never alone.
Proud we are
To have come so far
It is I
The rainbow inside.
