The Race

Wisdom gained along the way

I understand it now

The struggle at the begging is to learn

To win freedom

Get a job

And survive

<

Be fruitful and multiply

<

At the end

It’s to use the lessons

We heard along the way

But did not yet absorb

Things about letting go of anger

And cherishing those around us

And the moments we have

<

Because we see the end coming

And we see where we were wrong

The wisdom is growing

And we want to atone

And have it all figured out

Enough to move on

And join the ethereal Council of Elders

When we’re done

These are accumulated lessons that we understand fully in later years. Why does it take us that long, I wonder? Matrix ponderings... Well stated Gene! Thanks for sharing😊
