The Queen & The Prisoner

Locked into love

Emotions wild,

Heart pounding… pounding;

What are these feelings?

Love cowardly crowding in,

No room left for defeat;

Pictures crowd the room,

But memories waver… waver;

Where am I?

The names I recognize,

Spouting from my heart,

But faces leave me blinded;

Two sides,

And they seem to both be mine—both are mine…

Who are they? Why crowd me?

Why am I held prisoner one minute,

And queen of it the next?
