The Power of Three

Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.” Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬

You were there in the beginning, when there was nothing . You were always meant to walk among us, to feel our human emotions and even feel human pain, to cry, to bleed.

To teach us about conduct and compassion, to heal us, to give us a glimpse of Glory and for us to learn about our/ Your Father.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ ‭

But You came to be our sacrifice. To modify our sin nature and to cleanse us, once and for all by dying. I often say to myself " what if...". What if the religious leaders embraced You? What if Pontius Pilate refused to hurt You? What if the Father changed His mind at the last minute? What if You said " I'm opting out"?

But none of my " what ifs" matter, because You were born to save mankind from mankind. You witnessed the good, the bad and the ugly. You witnessed firsthand the evils of lust, greed, jealousy, anger, pride and apathy. I want a world where you didn't die, where you stayed and ministered forever to us.

You turned B.C. into A.D., breaking hearts then and still now. You were physically killed - tortured with 39 lashes, a crown of thorns shoved into Your skull and a scarlet robe thrown over You and a reed put in Your hand. Mocked and crucified.

You turned us from sinner to saint with Your final breath, yet some still choose sin and still claim sainthood.

The sun rose again this morning . It's a brand new day, a blanket canvas just waiting for us to paint our masterpiece on its pristine form. May we live each day remembering who You are and why You came. May others become curious about the Light that shines outwardly from us. May we live each day with purpose and mission.
