The Power of Mischief on a Cold Winter Night

K7

By James GreenPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

A family in December's deep freeze

Had run out of coal, you see

The fire's gone out, it's quite a shame

The cold had taken over the frame

The child, so bold, thought with great care

"I'll get on Santa's naughty list, I swear!"

He pondered, he thought, and then he knew

A plan that would see him through

He set about causing quite a fuss

With tricks and pranks, so mischievous

He pounced and he jumped, he laughed and he teased

And Santa soon had him nicely pleased

With a twinkle in his eye, Santa came

And gifted the child with coal, just the same

The family cheered, and danced with glee

As the fire roared, oh so warmly

And though the child was now on Santa's list

His heart was filled with Christmas bliss

For he'd learned that sometimes, to win the game

You must be a little bit naughty, just the same.
